Default Let Rollbeetleracing Stay?

Title says it all... Face it, People: By the next Canthan New-Year (Festival), GW will by near extinction. (I somehow do Have the feeling Anet is working on a "secret" extra campain, don't ask me how or why, I just do)

I myself prolly won't be around till then. (Official I left 2 weeks ago, but seeing how the skill balance wasn't all that bad, still bad tough, I decided to give Anet another month orso (I = addict))

Please just let Rollerbeetle stay? It's one of the few forms of PvP which I, atm, actually enjoy, because for once, I simply don't get "outbuild". (Huray for Build Wars in GvG, RA, TA, HA, HB, AB)

I love it for the mere fact it's simple, isn't as frustrating as getting hit with a 200 dmg Sloth Hunter's Shot, doesn't require you to play 10 times better than your opponent because he has a better build and simply because it's "fun"...

I also would LOVE to play it during Non-High-Lag-Invest-In-New-Servers-Weekends. Because the 2 things destroying RollerBeetle atm is lagg (Rubberband ftw) and PvE-ers that don't grasp the idea of "snaring the guy in front of you = win"...

(I also used search, but nothing popped up, can't wait for the reply: U missed this thread obviously)

But rollerbeetle was win to :P

I'd go for keeping all event areas accesible from the same point.
You could have to pay 1000k to enter.

It could be the Realm of Dwayna.

Pay 1k, and you can enter an outpost from where you can join any game until you log out or you lose 50 times in various games.

I enjoy the special event games, maybe rotate them monthly or a gamer zone where you can play any all. However I question the rewards aspect of it, just balth faction or do you get the tokens for fireworks, sweets, etc?

And if you do get the rewards does that cheapen the titles?

Yeah I want it to stay And have like, a Rollerbeetle title Like .. you get 3 Points for a win, 2 for second, 1 for third - and then it's the same as the drunk titles. That'd be cool

Just a point i'd like to make. We have battle isles for all these...RA, TA, Hb, Ha etc, and if you're bored of those it';s because you can play them all the time. The ONLY reason you love the special ones so much are because they don't come round all that often, and so you are not bored with them.

If they were implemented as a permanent feature, you would soon become bored with them as the novelty wears off. The way it is now, everytime you play these events, it will be a nice experience, a treat so to speak.

If Christmas were everyday, you may say "Oh yah that'd be totally AWESOME!" but after a few days/weeks etc, you'd soon abandon it.

Search for all the "Keep dragon arena/keep snowball fights/keep costume brawl threads" and you'll get your answer.

costume brawl was exactly that....HB with real people...everyone had some self heal on their bar andthe ability to go solo another enemy. it was fun but i think these minigames should stay for the events because come on....max gamer...it shouldnt be like that

Wow, from reading the forums i got the impression rollerbeetle racing this year was a disaster (see: haxors with superduper tymez!). Guess i was wrong.

It's not a bad idea, rollerbeetling is cool, but they would seriously need to sort out the lag in the races. RB every 10 secs.. ftw?

Hurray for luck wars in beetling!

And on the subject of sealed deck, well.. it was clear that anet failed to balance skillbars just for that (monk bar anyone?). Imo, if they added something perma like that, it should be one bar for all professions. Basically a mix of 8 skills (heals/prots from monks, warrior damage etc..). That way every bar has a bit of everything (although the bar would be very compressed) and it's down to skill to win, as everyone else has exactly the same skills, stats, attributes and AL as you.

It's called Guild Wars II. If Rollerbeetle racing stayed, I bet it'd look just like Jade Quarry within two weeks. Same with the other events, I love them to death but if they made them permanent you'd never get to play them rather than rarely.

as i suggested in another thread here in sardelac, they should add RBR as a "NPC" in guild halls, so you can play with guildies and other friends, not just with random strangers all the time... it would be a 100k NPC and would send you and your party into race. and to not mess up events, there would be a different court for GH races...

And as we have have so many NPC's availible for hall now, why not to add a NPC that sends you and your team into a race? like another 100k NPC... i would pay anything for it and if there is a fear that players would know a court too well then, maybe add different one for this GH NPC... the concept would be that you and your party members would be teleported in a race after talking with a NPC, then race and be returned back to hall. There might also be an option at same NPC to see daily/all time "guild/guests" records or something... of course it wouldnt count for gamer title, as it would cheapen it too much, just for fun...
thread where i suggested it: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10253940

Something like this is suggested every single event.

/notisgned

For reasons listed above and in countless other threads.

yes, but this is our nearly last year in GW2... next year all ppl will be at GW2 with their minds, many ppl will quit, etc. It's ideal chance to put this as a long term service/whatever... Dont think many ppl will be on this event next year...

A new outpost in the Battle isles would do too.

You put all the NPCs there and, of course, since it's out of an event, you have to pay something to enter.

Tournament tokens, balthazar faction, gold, anything.
